Tero J. Kauppinen has a 30 year long career as a globally active management consultant. His expertise includes large-scale strategic transformation processes, strategy formulation, structural and management system design, customer interface management and leadership development.

He is the developer of VIA, Vision Into Action -management framework and toolbox that helps leaders and managers design their new future - and lead their businesses from their current position to the preferred future. He is the writer of numerous management articles and designer of many internationally executed development programs. He has authored several management books including Leader's People Skills (Otava, 1998), Vision Into Action (5th print, Otava 2004) and Navigative Management (2nd print, Otava, 2002). His latest book Managing Leadership was published in February 2006 (Talentum).

Tero J. Kauppinen is a sought after speaker in management conferences and his recent consulting clients include TeliaSonera Finland, Halton Group, Unilever, Vattenfall. In the 90's he lived and worked as a consultant in the U.S. for five years. There his and his team's clients included Budget, Bank of Boston, Hill's, Northern Telecom, Northtrop, Tel-labs, Texaco, Motorola and Valmet.

He is the Founder and Principal of Leadership Academy, Leaders’ Business School (since 1988). In 1976 he established Yritysvalmennus Group, currently a part of VIA Group, which has grown into one of the leading management consulting and development companies in Finland. He acts in the company as its chairman and CEO. Since 1982 he has organized a semi-annual Leaders’ Forum, No#1 management conference in the country

Tero J. Kauppinen graduated Helsinki University in 1973 (M.A. in Economics) and California American University in 1988 (M.Sc. in Management). Additionally he has participated and organized dozens of international conferences and development programs. He received honorary Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Science in 1988 and is listed in several Who Is Who publications both in Europe and the United States.
