What Does the Programme Offer for the Participant?The participant will learn to use management toolsAfter participation in the program the participant can lead his own team effectively and achieve his goals. The participant learns how clear and explicit goals are created making them compatible with the strategic goals of the entire company. The manager is moulded into a team leadership professionalThe participant learns how to divide responsibility into clear personal roles, how the effectiveness of the team is measured and how the results of the measurement are converted into progressive action. He learns to interpret the capabilities of the team members and to lead in accordance with them. Management by exampleTo ensure continuous effectiveness of the team it is important that the leader can increase open and constructive debate in the team. Providing/receiving feedback and openness are often challenging for managers. The participant will be instructed in know-how about people, whereby his capacity to increase motivation and commitment will grow significantly. LeadershipAn important element of the VIA Team Leader in Action programme is the development of one’s own leadership skills. The participant will comprehensively examine the strengths and development aspects of his skills. He will get detailed feedback on his characteristics as a leader. The participant's team memebers will give feed back on the participant's leadership skills both at the beginning and at the end of the training, whereby the change of the management skills can be assessed.
